50 inspirational photographs that document our beautiful and fragile home, along with four films documenting our planet, have been shortlisted for the Earth Photo awards.
The inaugural Earth Photo exhibition is a collaboration between the Forestry Commission England and the Royal geographic Society and will be presented at the Grizedale Forest in Cumbria on 11th October 2018 until 20th January 2019.
1280 submissions from 19 countries have been whittled down by an expert panel of photographers, filmmakers, geographers and ecologists and bring together outstanding images that describe and illuminates the four key themes of People, Nature, Place and Change.
“It was a sincere pleasure being a selector for the inaugural Earth Photo competition, as the submissions as a whole were very strong in terms of artistic merit, technical ability and topical relevance. I congratulate all of the photographers for entering their inspired work and thank them for supporting this important photographic competition.” Marissa Roth, Earth Photo selector
Earth Photo will also tour to Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire (until 1 January 2019).
